You may be anovulatory this cycle, or ovulated late. My positive test was 15 days past ovulation, but I know for certain when I ovulated, so I knew when to expect my period. Or, you may be one of the rare women who just don't get positive tests.
The only way to know for certain is to have your OB/gyn do a blood test. He can check for the pregnancy hormone, HCG, and he can also check your progesterone to make sure you ovulated. If your progesterone levels aren't up, then you didn't ovulate, and he may prescribe something to make your period start.

It can be up to one month after your last period before you test positive or negative. It has a lot to do with the lutenizing hormone.
If you are pretty positive that you are pregnant ( even without the results of a HPT) then you should take the blood version.
You are better off knowing either way.
I never had good results with home tests until after a month. By then I already had symptoms and was pretty sure.
I've had 3 pregnancies, 1 miscarriage and 2 healthy kids are the results.
Good luck to you either way.

I took mine 1 day after my missed period and it the pregnancy test showed up positive. Remember it doesn't have to be a dark line, even a faint one in the right spot indicate positive. I'd try a different brand. If you're really two weeks late and different pregnancy tests are showing negative, I'd call a doctor. You may not be pregnant, but may have another problem.

I tested early with both of my pregnancies (about a week, maybe less, before I missed my period) and got accurate positive results. One of the tests I took was even a $2 from Dollar General, lol.

i used first response 3 days before my period was due and i got a positive result....i think it depends on how much HCG you have.
I think you should see your doctor and see whether he will do a blood test that will determine if you are pregnant or not,if not he will be able to help find out why you are 2 weeks late for your period

If your two weeks late and its negative I would say your not pregnant ........... Try a first response test they show up quicker...
I tested a week late and got a very distinctive postive and now 25 weeks pregnant!
