what one can learn from "information security"?

i know what is information security. i know where it is applied or its examples. but what one can learn from all these things?

I'm a ISSO, (Information System Security Officer)

What one can learn for Information Security :

#1. How to protect your Data "Information" for people that you do not what to have access to it.

#2. How to teach people that has access to information that is vital to your organizaton to be vigilant about the information that they access.

#3. learn what is consider classified information and how to process this information.

Information Security is about keeping the organization's digital information secure " out of the hand of people that will use it to harm your organization or take advantage of your organization".

this is just a brief explaination but I hope this helps.
