I just started my daughter on rice cereal last week and baby food this week and I have noticed my daughter doing the same thing. They are just getting something with more substance to it that fills them up longer so they don't have a need for so much breast milk.

Yes, it is normal but if you want to continue breastfeeding (which is recommended up to at least 1 year old) you should breastfeed him before offering him solids. This way he fills up on the nutritional breastmilk rather than the cereal.

Yes. The more solid food that you feed your baby, the less he will be dependent on breastmilk.
Hope this helps!

Absolutely, the cereal fills the little one's tummy up more than the milk. I would not force him to eat if he is full; he will let you know when he is hungry (or not).

yes, because he is getting full on the cereal and needs less breast milk. Its part of introducing solid foods slowly and possibly weaning if you want.

Yes it's normal, his little tummy is just fuller. Don't try to force it on him, he knows when he's full.
