Talk to him. Bring up a gay club or talk about some local gay event. Ya know, include who you are in your conversation. Be direct or indirect, whichever is more comfortable for you. If he is and he's interested, he'll let you know. Good luck.

If he is your friend already, and you are gay, you should know by now if he is gay or not or at least have some idea. Do not risk your friendship over this -- many people have done so and paid a terrible price -- loss of a male friend.

Introduce into the conversation that you are gay and be matter of fact about it, Just as though you were talking about the weather. You will be able to determine his reaction and then go from there. It saves alot of difficult moments, If he say's he has to meet his girlfriend than you know he is straight.

WOW! i imagine thats REALLY hard! But, if you make it clear you are gay and see that it does'nt FREAK HIM OUT, then maybe flirt a little, or ask him if he would ever date a guy maybe...i really have no clue. But given how most guys who arent gay react to guys who are gay...be careful.

If you not sure the guy is gay or not, the best way tell the joke for him. play attention see what reaction. Normal we can tell he ( is or not.)

surely if he is your friend you would know if he was gay or not, especially if you have a 'valuable' friendship

You can do a little hinting and flirting, then let him know you're gay and see how he acts around you afterwards.
