BIOS, in computing, stands for Basic Input/Output System or Basic Integrated Operating System. BIOS refers to the software code run by a computer when first powered on. The primary function of BIOS is to prepare the machine so other software programs stored on various media (such as hard drives, floppies, and CDs) can load, execute, and assume control of the computer. This process is known as booting up.

Bios stands for Basic input output system.

THe bios is like a mini operating system, that containes just enough information to turn on your computer just after you push the power button. All of the screens that you see before windows is loaded are BIOS screens, these are mainly hardware tests to make shure that all of the parts of youre computer are functioning correctly before windows is loaded. THe clock is also a part of the bios, the clock keeps all of the parts of the computer running in time with each other so that all of the parts of the system are synchronised. There is a small battery on the motherboard that provudes the BIOS with just enough electricity to keep the clock running and to make shure that the computer remembers all of the settings that it needs to be able to boot up.

The Bios setup that you can enter before you're computer loads windows (usurally by pressing DEL of F2) allowes you to change the settings about how you're computer boots up, and how the hardware devices run together. Be VERRY careful with these settings as changing some settings can stop you're computer from functioning correctly.

BIOS (trouble-free enter/Output device) is an digital set of training that a working laptop or laptop makes use of to effectively initiate working. The BIOS is located on a chip in the laptop and is designed in a manner that protects it from disk failure. a considerable function of the BIOS is to grant training for the ability-on self attempt (positioned up). This self attempt ensures that the laptop has all the fundamental areas and function needed to effectively initiate itself, consisting of use of memory, a keyboard and different areas. If errors are detected during the attempt, the BIOS instructs the laptop to grant a code that nicely-knownshows the concern. errors codes are frequently a sequence of beeps heard almost immediately after startup. To get into the BIOS, restart the laptop and carry down the "delete" key.
