I'm not Catholic, so I wouldn't ever confess my sins to a priest.

As a Christian I confess them to God, and would confess them publicly if they were of a nature that required a public confession. You confess sins when you recognize that you have sinned.

If you are a Catholic I suggest you discuss this with a teacher or priest. I believe you will be told that once you are confirmed and eligible for communion you are considered to be obligated to confess sins.

It makes no sense to have fear of dying. We will all die. Our fear should be of what happens to us after we have died.

Children should confess their sins to God daily at the point when they understand what sin is and how sin is a crime against God.

They do not need to see a priest. Christ alone is our mediator, the Holy Spirit our interpreter even when we don't have words. But have them keep a short list of affronts to God. For he will forgive all the sins that we confess and repent of.

Any age, but if there is not a priest, you can confess to a friend or family member or, as a friend who made me realize this truth said, "Go to the top!" God is always listening, will never breach your confidence and is faithful and just to forgive us our sins as the bible says.

I do not confess to my priest. I ask forgiveness from God. He is the one who you need to forgive you not man. That is just my opinion. I think once you are old enough to understand you are old enough to confess. If you know you did wrong then I think you are ready.

I think they should confess every day and get it out of your system. You don't need to go to a priest to reconcile with god you know.

When they're dying, of course... That way they're not haunted by their confessions later.
Why do you think they're called "last rites".
