Has an American in your own country would you apologize to a person from another country if they took offense to a comment you made that you did not thought was a big deal- after all you did not force them to come here or stay here if they get offended by the way Americans are- Our problem is many of the new immigrants are their old societies first and Americans second that cannot be good for our country

We should respect them for who they are . Why would they have chosen to move to America in the first place if they knew it would be no better than what they left behind. If you went to a foreign land and was everyones subject of conversation, " HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ? "

For the love of people and respect if you accidentally did something to offend someone it would be the nice and polite thing to do to apologize to them. As a christian, I am sometimes offended by the way people talk but I go on and don't make a big deal about it. I try to show love and not be offended. Besides God meets people wherever they are, so why shouldn't I?

I wouldn't feel the need to apologize.
