They can be a true source of interruption. Someone will be half way through speaking to a person and the listener will just disregard them to answer the phone - pretty rude. It also intrudes on personal space by making you available to everyone 24 hours per day although I think a lot of people woke up and have stopped answering and just return messages later. Then the caller will be offended "why don't you answer the phone?"

Yes they are not only a necessary part of today's world but also a nuisance. Phones ring in the middle of meetings or when you are having lunch with someone. Hopefully most people do the right things and try to keep conversations short when already in the middle of something with someone else. But the need for phones is definitely there! We send out kids off to the shops to get something and it is comforting to know that they can contact us if there is a problem. When your daughter is driving home late on her own it is comforting to know she has her phone. So it seems that the mobile phone is a necessary evil.

Today I saw two guys sitting at a table outside of Starbucks. Each of them was talking on a mobile phone to someone else! I've also seen people talking on cellphones while checking out of the supermarket. They're paying no attention to the person behind the counter. I think cellphones interfere with our communicating with the people who are actually present.

There is no need for someone to be talking on the phone while they are eating and especially not while they are going potty. If they are eating in a restaurant, it's rude to the people they are sitting with and to the people around them. If they are on the phone while taking a d**p well, that is just rude to the person on the other end. YUCK! I hope no one I talk to is peeing or pooping while I am talking to them. Just gross.

certain and no. cellular phones substitute our social existence. They disturb conventional head to head social existence the way it develop into, because fairly of conversing to the human beings round them, persons are frequently busy conversing on their cellular telephone to someone who's some distance away. in spite of the undeniable fact that, conversing on the phone is a style of social existence in itself. So this is compared to human beings don't have a social existence anymore because of cellular phones, they in basic terms socialize in a unique way, over the phone or on-line fairly than head to head.
