The reasons in India are many and varied:
*Family conflicts, domestic violence, academic failures, and unfulfilled romantic ideals.
*Voracious appetite for high-end consumer goods spurred by moneylenders and hire-purchase schemes.
*The wide gap between people's aspirations and actual capabilities.
*The disintegration of traditional social support mechanisms as was prevalent in joint families.
*Emergence of a trend towards nuclear families, alcohol abuse, financial instability and family dysfunction.
*A growing population of the aged.
*Failure of crops, huge debt burdens, growing costs of cultivation, and shrinking yield.

The present day stress to compete with others, from the day one they enter the LKG, the pressure put by their parents to be the No. 1, in the class and not allowing them to have fun and game and the glittering western culture has made some of the present day youth to find the easy way of ending their precious life. The parents only pressurize them, but not teach them the way to lead the life. The present day films, crime and love story being the only main themes, have also contributed to this easy way out. Every one wants to be rich and make money and merry, but when they find that is not so easy, in frustration or in that particular moment of week mind, they commit suicide.
We also have deviated from our own culture, the family culture, with grand parents, aunts and uncles to guide the young properly, in some critical conditions.

There are some people who cannot handle all the bad things that are happening to them. Counseling or physicology does not help all the time. I think the comfort of best friends or peers is the best way to deal with the stress.
When they feel that they are not wanted anymore, they wish they could just vanish from existence. Some people cut themeselves as a way to ease their pain, and some who just cannot take it anymore... well they just commit suicide.

I'll give you six easy reasons
1. Too many of them think there is a re-boot command somewhere that their friends will activate
2. They are over indulged by parents and friends
3. They aren't challenged in schools, must remember their self-esteem.
4. They don't have real parents - they have friends or caretakers
5. Modern culture rots them.
6. They are selfish.

Lack of communication & education in the home w/families most often can lead to a life of dysfunction. Issues range from abuse & neglect,drugs apathy, etc. It's a vicious cycle, yet one that can stop. One person at a time. Thoughts-Words-Actions!

Dumb youth out there haven't caught on to the fact that suicide is a permanent (and wrong) solution to a temporary problem....a decision you can't change your mind on once the line has been crossed.
