SOBER. Having been at a concert with a high person (and a projectile vommiter, too) and a drunk person ( Didn't get to see much of the concert after getting kicked out for being a *****) I have been to many many concerts and sober is always the best way to go, that way you aren't the one that is looking like a moron to everyone.

first off, Drugs are bad, m'kay?
If you are of legal drinking age, drinking at a concert is cool, but from personal experience I can tell you I have missed out on some great moments at concerts due to my extreme inebriation levels. In fact, I slept through 3/4s of an AC/DC concert in Germany back in the 80s, only to wake up to the cannon fire in "For those about to rock..."
Drugs can pep up and alter the experience a bit, and you dont really fall asleep easily high (at least not me) but...
But, at the risk of sounding like an old coot (hey, I'm only 34 dangit!) I can honestly say my best concert experiences were in fact sober. The crowds are way more tolerable when you have all your wits about you, one rarely vomits in public when sober, and you can really remeber most of the concert (alzheimers, excluded)
hope this helps

Better to go to the concert sober because security and all. Drink a couple of beers though when at the concert.

It depends on whether or not you want to remember the concert. I have been to several over the years and have a hard time remembering most of the early ones because we always got completely blitzed on just about everything before we went. Now I enjoy a little weed before the concert just to lay me back to relax and enjoy the show.

Sober. Or at least under the pretense that your sober. If you go to a concert strung out or drunk off your gourd, you can and probably will be escorted off the premises and ticketed for public intoxication.
