Except those crossdressers out there and the few cultures out there that still do. When did the say the english men start wearing pants and why was the old look, like we see on older setting of tv shows faded out?
and would it ever be reversed or would we want it to?

I stopped wearing kilts about 14 years ago during the winter. I was walking up and down the glens and stopped to rest. When I sat on a cold rock, things got stuck for over half an hour and I decided right then and there, no more kilts. I made a vow,"Please God just let it thaw enough to get un-stuck and I'll never wear kilts again." And that's my sad story

Probably the same reason as women. Trousers are a lot easier to get around in, you can bend over, they don't get tangled under you feet and pants don't blow up in the wind.
