Because they were the weakest. A long time ago the strong got the chance to spread thier genes, they faught off the weak. But the weak were still horny so they started boinking eachother and that is how it all started.

there is actually a huge debate about this, some say its genetic, other say its by choice. Homosexuality has actually been around all throughout history, many men in ancient greece openly expressed their homosexualy as an example.
