I know this isn't a soccer related question but I've noticed quite a few people using more than one identity?
What is the purpose??

I suspect that they are quite a few in this forum with double maybe even septuple identities. That is distracting but obviously some don't like themselves and they use many pseudos to feel better and bigger.

The English speaking side of Yahoo is very vengeful as if you have to explain yourself continuously, when I go on the France side, I relax, laugh and enjoy myself. The questions are drastically different and more pleasant, they don't argue, they accept your point of view and let you say it.

Juventina, I wish you a nice day

Their purpose is supposedly to have "back-up" accounts to use just in case their main one is disabled after the user is reported a certain number of times. Others may answer their own questions, vote for themselves, etc. However, this is clearly outlined in the Yahoo! Answers Guidelines for Users, and each person should only have one account.

Besides, people who do use multiple accounts usually aren't the ones really contributing to the real purpose of Yahoo! Answers. If you're going to answer hundreds of questions for the points, surely you wouldn't want all of those points gone?

Some people do for different reasons, I use to hang out with a big time football player and when we were in a bar or restaurant they always said aren't you so and so, and we would laugh and say he getes asked that all the time some times for fun, he even signs the guys name like an autograph, and they laugh and that is the end of it. Then of course you have the reversable, people who really have something to hide!

These people want attention and they are trying to show something that only they know. Maybe these persons are depressive or even mad(I'm not trying to offense anyone), they are maybe childish and desperate and they need different identities to show who they truly are!Or maybe they are trying to offend someone but without success and they keep on having different identities in hoping against hope that they will succeed in torturing that person!!

I've been bothered by this too. People do it to give themselves the 10 points for a best answer or to build up a good reputation in the forum.

@ Greatest.... Interesting theory

If we know of any people using double identities then we should name and shame them.
Although I suspect these people would not feel any shame.

I suspected that too. Whats disturbing is people flat out lying about who they are. You never know what freaks are out on the internet.
