Droplets of water from dew, rain, lake, any body of water from puddle to the ocean, turn into vapor that goes into the clouds.
When these clouds are full and the atmosphere is just right, rain drops fall from these clouds and along with any eggs that have been vapor ed in the clouds come down with it.
I have heard of it raining fish also.
As you notice, all these come from eggs that can be harvested with the mist into the clouds. So in the process, tadpoles and baby spiders can be in the rain.

I have seen this twice in my life, once with newly formed frogs and again with small fish. Both times it was in areas where there were many ponds and small lakes. The cause seems to have been freak wind conditions in both cases. A minor whirlwind picked up water from the local ponds which were full of tadpoles and newly emerged frogs at the time and as its power reduced the frogs/fish were deposited some distance away. I must say it amazed me as I was only a kid at the time.

A type of tornadic event. The frogs would account for a waterspout, ( a tornado that is over water), that probably drained a pond.
