You mean are there Unidentified Flying Objects? Of course! It doesn't mean it's a space ship. It just means it's an object, in the sky, and can't be identified.

ABSOLUTELY there are UFOs.

I spent 22 years in the US Air Force. Four of them repairing jet air craft, ten servicing computers that processed radar data, and the rest in communications. When I left the Air Force I did R&D and limited production on radar test equipment and finished up as a weapons equipment specialist on American Fighter aircraft. Part of my last job included investigating aircraft accidents. I can assure there are Unidentified Flying Objects. In fact there are a lot of them. However, "unidentified" and "unidentifiable" are not synonyms. We can and do identify almost every sighting. The idea that because one person doesn’t know what something is automatically makes it a space ship is foolish.

I had a sighting of my own. A cigar shaped, highly reflective craft at three to four thousand feed above my neighborhood. It was silent and left no vapor trail or showed any signs of propulsion. If I had stopped there, I could have reported the incident and passed a polygraph with flying colors. I continued to watch and in a few moments the commercial jet liner, banked, the wings came into view and the fuselage changed it's position relative to the sun enough that it stopped looking like a space ship. Then and only then I realized a slight breeze, enough to carry the sound in the other direction.

Now I have a fair pedigree when it comes to flying machines. I worked on and with them for years and have had a interest all my life. Additionally I was trained and experienced in accident investigation, but I was fooled for a few seconds. And, I was fooled by a normal aircraft. What do you think someone who had never seen a commercial jet on the ground might have thought of my sighting. They could have easily panicked and all their observations would have been tainted by that panic. Or better yet, the same person seeing a flying wing, or some lighter than air craft. Things can get interesting when you try to investigate something outside the experience of your witnesses. Things can get VERY interesting.

I said earlier that we identified most sightings. Others will never be identified because the information is simply too limited for any investigator to make an informed guess. Or it was a space ship from another planet. That's right folks, it would not surprise me at all for a craft to land tomorrow complete with alien life forms on board.

I say this based on the smoke and fire theory. I believe that if there is sufficient smoke, there is probably some fire somewhere. Add to that, I am not pompous or arrogant enough to believe that we are the only life in the universe or for that matter, the most advanced.

So yes, there are Unidentified Flying Objects but when you change that to Unidentifiable the numbers shrink significantly. Ah, but they never seem to go away completely. As I heard a TV star say, “the truth is out there”.

I don't think so. I think there is most likely extraterrestrial life, the universe being what it is, but that doesn't mean green humanoid aliens are currently surveying us from saucer-shaped spaceships, getting ready to invade and harvest our resources, or something...

Absolutely not. While there most likely is life elsewhere in the Universe, anyone who tells you they've seen it visit us is just longing for attention.
