Each university, and therefore the atmosphere and obstacles, is different. As such, I find that it's easiest to involve yourself with the various organizations which exist to help you.

For example, most universities will provide you with an academic advising and assistance office; a place where you can receive both advice for planning your school career as well as assistance in making sure that everything (at least academically) is in order.

Also, if you're living on campus in one of the residence halls, then get to know your Resident Assistant (or whatever title is being used for the student whose responsibility is assisting the people on his or her floor with their daily life issues). Keep in mind that these folks are not mind readers, and that you'll need to be willing to approach them if you have any questions or concerns.

Your peers are also going to be a great help, as you'll find that you're not in this by yourself. Literally thousands of people on-campus are going through the same day-to-day stuff as you (by and large), and talking with them often not only helps in relieving that feeling of being alone, but also provides some interesting ways to handle any issues you haven't had to deal with yet.

Just take it all one day at a time, and don't worry about the little stuff. EVERYBODY starts out as a freshman, after all!

Pressure, lack of sleep, struggle to keep social life going when getting drowned in work, time management, some professors are really strict and difficult on purpose no matter how smart you are or how hard you work

Debt.
Fatigue.
Weight Gain.
Alcohol Poisoning.
STDs
MIPs
DUIs
Depression.
Munchies (the best part)

While these dangers are out there, overall college is going to be the most fun you'll have in your 20's.

social(meeting new people, peer pressure)
time management
work
going to class

As a college student, you cant go out socializing while working and vice versa. you have to pick one of the two. Those who pick those two either failed classes or had lower grades.
