Possible, sure... I think Harry needs to toughen up a little though... and start using his common sense a little more... get some better magic spells or something... To be so popular and adored by everyone in town - be so powerful - and allow Hermoine to outdo him on her worst day- - - come on...

Only the author knows for sure. It is likely, given the size of the wizarding community, that every house is related at some point, although Slytherin house would change their records to deny it (remember the wall at #12) It isn't necessary to be blood related to Godric Gryffindor to be in Gryffindor house, and it is not blood that makes a true Gryffindor.

Lily Evan Potter? The sister of Petunia Dursley? I doubt it, remember Lily is like Hermione they were muggle-born. James Potter would something, since he is a pure blood, he's a good candidate for Gryffindor's descendant and they also lived in Godric Hallow. Anyway... only J.K. Rowling knows.

I don't think so, she came from a non magic family, I believe James is the descendant to Godric Gryffindor.

I always thought it might have been James. Lily's parents were both muggles (at least as far as we know). Of course, since Lily's parents were happy that she was a witch maybe it meant that somewhere in her lineage there was a great magical power. Which would mean Gryffindor. I have thought since Chamber of Secrets someone in his family was related to Gryffindor.

The Wizarding community is fairly small, so it's likely that after a few hundred years almost all of the wizard-born are related.
