One is it possible to be pregnant after taking this?
What are the common side effects?
Since taking it, my next bleed (period) has been really on and off an so light I barely notice I am on. I am also seven days early.
I am very regular in time with my periods and the pattern of them. (heavy-light, 5ish days!)
Could this be an effect of the pill!?
What are other side effects?

Hi..
i took the morning after pill last month..the same thing happened to me exactly. My boyfriend and i had protected sex but the condom spilt..i wanted to be extra sure so i took the morning after pill.
On the day i took it i was fine..then about 4 days later i had a light period (even thjough my period wasn't due until 3 weeks later) tjhe bleeding lasted for 3 days. Then on the third day i felt sick and dizzy..but this disappeared after i ate something.
Last week i took a pregnancy test which came back negative..but i still haven't had my period so its really messed up my cycle, and it's still quite worrying until i have my period.
I've done some research into the morning after pill....
Its most effective when taken within 24 hours, 90% effective actually....if you take the pill early on in your cycle its more likely to make you have a later period..go to www.levonelle.co.uk...the website really helps..there is also a morning after pill helpline 08456 035 035.
Good luck!

The morning after pill was a topic on the news this morning - apparently it is not as effective as people believe. Taken within the first 24 hours after unprotective sex, it is 90% effective but anything after that, it is only 40% effective. This topic came up because despite the introduction of the morning after pill 5 years ago, terminations are still increasing.
The best thing is to take a pregnancy test - that's the only way to know for sure. Then go to the doctor - regardless of the result - he may be able to tell you more.

The morning after pill is a super dose of the Pill... Yes it can change your periods in timing lenght and intensity.... Can you get pregnant again.. Hell yeah... The morning after pill is emergency contraception.... Get some before contraception.... Use a condom every time... especially if you are not married and sure this guy is totally faithful..... Don't wnat a disease too..... Go on the pill or some other birth control.. Be adult and proactive... Take responsiblity for your choice to have sex and keep yourself safe from STDs and pregnancy...... If you ahve issues getting this stuff find a planned Parenthood near you.. They will help you pick the right plan for you and they will make sure you are STD free... They do this on a sliding scale according to what you cna pay and no parental consent is needed... In fact they can't talk to your parents unless you tell them to....
As for other side effects... nausea, vomiting, change in eating habit and weight gain.... blood clots, headaches, hyper tension... but these are rather rare... nausea an dvomiting and change in your cycle will be the most common...

You can still be pregnant after taking the morning after pill. Common side effects are nausea, vomitting, head ache, thrown off cycle like what you are experiencing and so on. Read the pamplet! Take a pregnancy test if you are concerned. The previous answer was wrong. The morning after pill is safe and will not harm the potential child if you were indeed pregnant when you took it.

I accept as true with Emily ok. it extremely is how the pill works. And being on antibiotics makes the delivery administration pill ineffective, no longer being ill. yet i does no longer worry, you're saying you have been on the pill for 8 months and that's a lot long sufficient for the pill to be working ideal with your device. And feeling ill is in all probability merely out of your pills, many females human beings sense ill after taking their pill. additionally, your cycle is by no potential going to be the comparable. meaning one month you will sense ill such as you do now and then next month you would be completely moody and have cramps. Then the subsequent month your breasts would soreness, its by no potential the comparable. between the various joys of womanhood LOL. And as far by using fact the morning after pill is going i does no longer worry you have been sturdy with taking your pill universal and on the comparable time. each and all of the morning after pill does is reset your physique clock. i've got taken it till now, one pill contained in the am and the different at night till now mattress. it relatively is merely meant to renounce you from ovulating, it relatively is like a useful delivery administration pill. And your already on the pill, so no concerns. desire this enables. :o)

Yes you can still be pregnant after taking this pill. Just because you had a period does not mean your safe. I had light periods with all three of my pregnancies. You need to go to the doctor to make sure you are not. You do know you'll have to abort the baby if you are. The baby could be damaged by the pill. Good-luck and use protection next time!!!!

I would assume that, like everything else, there will be a risk that it wont work. Your symptoms could be an effect of the pill but it would be wise to take a pregnancy test.

yes, its possible to be pregnant after taking the pill if you didn't take it early enough, side effects are similar to morning sickness, or a mild flu and yes, it can screw up your cycle. why don't you people know this if you are using itforbirth control? I know it, And I haven't needed birth control for23 years. Don't your doctors and health care providers give you any information at all?
