I don't get why white people get angry with blacks about our behavior when it wasn't long ago (the 1960s) that blacks were first allowed to use the same public restrooms and go to restaurants and such in the same locations as whites. Why are blacks considered so bad for not having a good education when our parents, grandparents, etc, could barely read or in many instances weren't allowed to? Besides, being black is an issue when most whites think we're not intelligent enough for the higher paying jobs. Can't you people see blacks don't have a chance at catching up to the wealth other races have? Don't blame us. It's just the facts.

Besides all that has happened in the past some people are raised to believe in certain things and through lack of wanting to change they just keep passing on these ideals to their offspring. I personally dont see skin color I think for the most part there are just alot of programs that are focused on blacks and some other races get pretty ticked off!

"Reportedly there are complaints that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian-sounding names" "Don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United ***** College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, and White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door. When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population are black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how the hell can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else. "

Things are a little different here in Canada then in the USA apparently but why do you say that you can't catch up with whites in the educational and job department? You can do anything you want to if you're dedicated enough. Most people here in Canada don't have a problem with different races, but we do have a problem with people who use excuses like being held back by past generations to even try.

I am white, I dont believe your a racist, and I believe your question is valid. I hope that the whole white race is not angry with blacks. If they were they would be closed off to many wonderful people. Unfortunately, for God knows what reasons, people of all races have their bigots. Whether their reasons are personal, inherited or misinformed they are very sadly lacking human beings. We are all human, bleed red have faults and strongpoints.

I do agree with your socio-economic reasons. I was a child of poor so-called white trash parents growing up. But they taught me with a liberal mind towards others. But I also grew up without many of the opportunities wealthier families have. But I did my best and worked hard. I see no difference between myself and a person of a different race that experienced similar circumstances.

I really don't think that whites are angry with blacks, because why would they? Blacks have been supressed for so long, not to there own accord, but anger is not how I perceive it. I think what the problem is , might be guilt. The whites might not want to acknowledge the pain they brought to the black community, but in essence, they were the sole perpetrators. I know it might be hard, most likely impossible to forgive the white people for there sins of the past, but, many of us try. We try to be kind and loving, and I know not all of us, I don't speak for all of us, please keep this in mind, but, I really think that most whites look at blacks like, "They hate us already for what happened so many years ago, that really has nothing to do with us today". I know many blacks look at whites as, "You had no right to do what you did to us so many years ago, which has nothing to do with us today. So many of us claim the badge of times past, not at all fair. I wish we could all just put it to rest, please, let us live on. Now I know the first thought on the person that wrote this letter is we were never so persecuted, but that was then, and that was the people then, with a mindset so disrupted, not now. You are not the same people as then. I admit, an injustice has been delt, but please, it has got to come to an end sometime or our children are going to carry the burden of our past ways. I am not condoning any actions of the caucasion race, it was horrific, please, as a white person, I beg your forgiveness for the sins of the past. Lets try our best to build a world of peace. It has got to start here on our own turf! Otherwise, how can any of us ever hope to resolve the problems in the middle east. We are all Americans black, white, hispanic asian iranian. Please, lets get it together, don't let our children see this kind of world, or worse, live in it.

I'm white, but I hate everyone equally. I dont hate races, I hate people. All people. An azzhole can be any color. So whether they be white, black, brown, red, yellow, green, fuscha, it doesnt matter.. all people need to grow up and get on with their silly lives.

PS- All those ignorant generations of people are dying off, soon the new generations will have to learn to get along. No one in their 60's or younger were never a slave, never a slave ship captian, etc etc. GROW UP STUPID PEOPLE

All peoples are racist. I mean, all races and ethnicities. Black people hate white people too. I, personally, do not hate blacks, and I feel they have been seriously ****** over, and are going to need a few years to catch up, economically. It really, really sucks for a lot of poor black kids in this country who get shitty educations and live in awful neighborhoods and then are expected to just get up and work and make it like any middle class white person.

I don't know. Isn't it the other way around. Though some white people in America have strong disagreements against the African-Americans. I'm not sure, hopefully this has ended.

Cop out.

Most of the intelligent, well educated, and socially concious people I know are black and grew up WAY below the poverty line. I dont buy this whole pc "its not my fault" bullshit for one second.

You are uneducated because you chose not to educate yourself.
You're poor because you chose not to furthur your education.
You made the decision not to stand up and own you're life or you're future. Dont 'pass the buck' to society for your laziness.

And there were no Jim Crow laws prohibiting reading.
Pick up a book and educate yourself.

People like , Colin Powell & Condoleezza Rice seem to be doing fine. Perhaps they aren't using their race and history as an excuse, try that.
