Politically, Vietnam is unified. It's governed by the Communist Party of Vietnam. Culturally, however, it can be said that Vietnam is still divided between north and south. Saigon people, for example, cannot get government jobs - those jobs are reserved for northerners who are considered more loyal to the Party.
Speak to any Saigonese about this and you will find considerable resentment towards northerners who are generally seen as corrupt, cold and selfish. While northerners consider southerners bourgeois, decadent, disloyal capitalists.

Vietnam is not Korea. It's not divided. That was the point of the Vietnam War. Check out the picture at

Vietnam is my country.
But what do you mean by "divided"?
We have three main sections, north, middle and south.
At each section we have different Vietnamese accents.
Anything else would you like to know about my country?
By the way, we don't have war anymore. ;-)

Not anymore. Used to be, but when the U.S. pulled out in 1975, the Communist north quickly took over so now it's one country.
