he has temporary custody and if it is his weekend with the boys he will not allow them to do anything in the city where I live because he considers it doing me a favor. So they had to miss a b-day party

Just another classic case of one parent using the kids against the other. I dont understand why he feels like he needs to do this. Your there mother and he's there father neither one has the right to deny the kids from the other. But 9 times out of 10 one parent has to play the part of the dumb A$ $. Because he is like so many other people both male and female that would rather use their children as a pawn than anything else. You don't say how old the boys are but eventually they will tell him how they feel and then he will feel like a jerk. He does it more than likely because he is either bitter about the divorce and this is his way of punishing you or he is just to lazy to make the trip into town afraid he might have to pay for a gift.

I guess that is why he is an EX huh? Be more careful who you have involved in your life next time. Kids are the innocent victums they get back at. Not very kind. Just you try not to put them in the middle and they will have half less the trouble. That sucks.

I know ex's tend to be a**'s. It's something... I dont know what gene it is about the Y cromosone, but they dont seem to comprehend some things, such as I dono, other people....

Because he know's he has lost the one person who cared anything about him, and that he will not be able to cope with you being with someone else. As of right now, then, and later, it is on his mind.

mans perspective....sometimes we always feel like we have to continue to make ex's pay emotionally.....it sucks.....it took me a while....but i moved on and working together has been so much less painful and productive.....sorry to hear that
