I loved the exersaucer. not sure what brand but the seat turns, has a feature where the baby can jump or rock. has adjustable heights. i also used a walker with my kids. it has been awhile for me but those things are great. get something with toys built in to avoid playing the "pick up" game with the other toys when you are busy. if you do use a walker be sure to gate any stairways and watch your heels. babies will always run into you. walker helps to make baby confident to walk on thier own. they are both great. the exersaucer was nice while i was cooking or busy so i didn't have to worry about where the baby was.

i used a walker with my daughter and i am using it again with my son. hes 7 months today and has been using it since he was about 3 months. my daughter started walking at 10 months and my son is already pulling himself up to stand while holding furniture and trying to balance himself to let go. im sure he'll be an early walker as well and i think the walkers really do help because they can actually get the motion down of walking rather than just sitting in an exersaucer or jumping in a jumper. you just have to keep an eye on them when they are in it thats all. the only reason i could think it would be dangerous is if they fell down stairs or something but then that would be the parents fault, not the walker.

Any bouncer is a remarkable way for your baby to get some exercise, have fun, and free up both your hands.
We have an Exersaucer that was handed down by a friend after her second child started walking and both of our kids have loved it. I think if a piece of equipment lasts for four kids and is still going, that is a statement of quality.
I won't lecture you about the dangers of illegal walkers because you obviously already know about all the horror stories and studies that resulted.

I'm not an advocate of walkers. As an EMT I saw too many children seriously hurt, and one child even died, because they tumbled down the stairs. Not lecturing, just warning. As for stationary play areas, Garco makes a wonderful one (I think it's called an exersaucer). My kids loved them!

I have both a walker and a stationary bouncer they are both Graco and I love them and my two children enjoyed them very much. I have tried a few other brands but the others didn't seem as druable and didn't change heights very easily.

I never used a walker for any of my kids. My daughter 10 months loves her Jumperoo by Fisher-Price. It folds for travel. It's great because you don't have to block a doorway like a Johnny-Jump-Up. Plus it's musical & lights up.

to be specific, smartsteps exersaucer entertainer (evenflo). it folds very nice for storage and traveling, has a bunch of great interchangable toys. i also have one where they can walk back and forth, as well as swivel around, with piano keys underneath that play as they move.
