For some, it works like magic. For me, it made my face break out even worse...It's worth a try I'd say, since most people see positive results. When you call to order it, get the 30-day trial to see if it works for you. If it doesn't, you can send it back and get your money back too! It's worth a try if nothing else seems to be working.

I have been using proactive for about 3 or 4 years and i think it's great. I have always been like you: I don't have severe acne but more like one or two annoying zits on my face and proacttive takes care of them fast and prevents other from showing up. Some say proactive doesn't work for them, but i know people who have had severe acne and it looks SO much better because of proactive. It's all a matter of using it properly the more severe the acne is. I only really do all three steps when i have breakouts for a few days in a row and then i dont have to use it for a while orelse i just use the cleanser or just dot the lotion on my spots. I would definately recommend trying it out. It might take a while for your skin to get used to the chemicals if you have sensitive skin, but the "irritation", if any, goes away.

Yeah for most people if used right it will. I used it and have now switched to something for all skin types as it controls acne and some other things you start to worry about after 25, lol. They have a ProActiv knockoff at Wal-Mart that is said to be better so try that tho the real stuff is easily available in a lot of malls now.
P.S. And the reason that you would have to keep using it or you will break out again is because DUH it can only work while you are using it. It doesnt cure acne and make it go away forever after using it once. As you get older your skin may change and you may never have acne again but some will have to control it until they are old and wrinkly. Never saw an old wrinkly person with a zit come to think of it...lol...but I have seen them with really big pores on their nose all fulla blackheads EW!

Used it for about 4 months with little results. To be honest with you it worked for my forehead but not my cheeks. I use to breakout a lot in the forehead area and a zit or two on the cheeks. When i started using Proactiv it made my forehead better but my cheeks worse. Now i have a lot of scars on my cheeks. Using the cleanser and toner seems to be the only two things that are working for me. The lotion just makes my skin more oilyer + my skin is really oily too so that made it worse for my cheeks. I suggest seeing your doctor. He/she can help solve your problem. My doctor gave me this topical gel to put on the blemishes and it seems to be working for me. I want to stop using Proactiv but i'm afraid my acne might get worse and since i can't get my money back(bought it at a mall) i'm going to use it until i have no more. I have like half a bottle left. Well good luck and hope this helps! :D

It worked for me. I didn't have terrible acne...just the occasioal annoying blemish and then the occasional BIG SORE FATTY. We're talking like once a month or less. And one at a time. Love Proactiv. Never had nay problem with ordering it, cancelling it, or re-ordering it. My skin likes it. I do think it is a bit addictive. I can tell when I don't use it. I like the way my skin feels and looks when I use it. I started using it only at night instead of 2x daily. Saves $$ and it works just as well for me. Neutrogena makes a similar product that works well, also. Check any label for salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. They work well together.

Hey well i tried proactiv a year ago.. at the peak of my acne.. did not work.. irritated the hell out of my skin.. They kept sending me out new proactiv kits when i already cancelled my membership, i also sent them all back, I am now in the process of reporting Rodan & fields for harrasment after i cancelled about 9 months ago, they continuously still send me letters asking for a payment of a kit that was sent back, & i have spoken to customer care many times and they tell me not too worry.
Just see your doctor and get a prescription for some medication to stop your acne, Maybe minocylin which is for acne, it is inexpensive and a doctor will know best .

Proactive does work but the only thing is you have to keep on using it, once you stop its going to come back. My boyfriend was using it awhile back but once he stopped it came back so now he just uses face cleansers from neutrogena and those work fine to help out. Stress could be a factor but u have to consider your make up if u wear any. Some people dont know that if u dont wash your brushes from time to time it builds up bacteria and when you use it obviously you brush the bacteria onto you're face, you get the picture. That happens to me sometimes when i forget to clean my brushes so you might want to consider that.

yes! I've been using it for over 6 years, and i'd be a pizza-face without it, lol. my skin looks crystal clear and super smooth. it took about 2 months for it to completely work, but after that, it's been great. if i stop using it for more then a week, though, my acne starts coming back, so make sure you always have enough. and their emergency blemish treatment makes pimples go away in hours - i'm not joking! try it - its amazing

Proactiv is very popular and ranks 1 on BeautyQA.com, a beauty product ranking site. It is has high national sales and a lot of good reviews from professionals and everyday users like you and me. Of course, there's always someone who won't like it but based on a majority of opinions, this is the best.
