...only for public relations to try to make people think that they have always been about diversity. Only for PR but it probably won't happen.
Even if they did try to put a woman or black person on the ballot, extreme conservatives would boycott it most likely.
Conservatives historically have a harder time with a woman doing what they would probably say is "a mans' job". Conservatives are typically not very diverse people and aren't for much change. Democrats are.

Don't know but they will put a black man or woman as the first black Secratary of State , unlike the Democrats.. Will the Democrats EVER put a black man or woman on the presidential ticket ? It's just as worth asking.

Are there any worthy of the position?? I mean, its really not a matter of color, as of right now, theres no good candidates to take Pres. Bush's spot in 2008.... Kinda scary... Im sure though, before the time comes, there will be a good Republican candidate, they never let us down, unlike those Dems........ :-)~~~~~~
As for a woman?? Very doubtful, they arent taken seriously enough to take a position such as a President!

The problem picking someone based on skin-color is the lack of equality. The USA is 75% white, blacks & Latinos are minories. So picking a candidate based on race, it'd have to be a white candidate to best represent the 75% majority.
So, it might be a better idea to pick the best person for the job regardless whether they are black, white, brown, yellow or green.

well, the african-american population is over 90% democratic, so there really aren't many options... As for putting a woman on the ballot, I can definitely see that happenning within the next 20 years.

No, it would be too progressive and out of character for the Republicans to do so. Most Republicans don't like Hilary Clinton not because of her politics, but because she is a woman.

I would not be surprised if this occurred in the 2008 candidacy.
I'm not going there. But, if this were to occur. Understand, we are educated by the rules of American colonialism. Who in turn, tells us and the entire U.S. we are not qualified.

Never.
Sure, they will talk about it; they will brag about their talking about it. They may even let one of their little pets play in the Primary Playpen, ... but, they will never let it go that far.
Cheney has already proven that he is capable of shooting one of his own kind (old-white-rich-redneck); Do you really think he would have a problem shooting a Black or a woman?
