Read the June 2006 issue of National Geographic Magazine. Nanotechnology could be very useful in the treatement of many diseases. Its uses for good could outweigh any possible evil usages.

Because of the extent of research on nanotechnology which has already been done, one could not effectively prevent this nascent science from developing further. Don't "throw the baby out with the bathwater".

The government can't have your DNA on file unless you give it to them.

Molecular biology/genetics is not advanced enough yet to do that.
You can match DNA without having a mapped genome. Gov doesn't necessarily have your DNA on file. Another way to analyze this: The big shot Russian banker who was killed-- nobody custom made a sophisticated new virus to kill him. They just used a gun. Its much cheaper. They didn't even wipe out JFK with a super-virus, he or they shot him.

i believe in the good term use of nanotechnology for humanity though we can't stop some of the arrogance and ignorance people who is over confidence of their pride and shrouded their thought from doing the neccessity but for their own satisfaction.
as i believe that if we are able to use the technology to enhance human immunity through D.N.A. coding and with a big possibility of reconfigurate humans physical and mental abilities to our neccessity, as well we are able to extract the aggressive and dominan characteristic within human D.N.A. and extending the length of age.
the future hold both that frighten us and the wish of our hope.

Nanotechnology is the miniaturization of mechanical devices. What does that have to do with viruses?
