I hear a lot of people talking about "Open Marraige". I hear a lot of people in East Asia discussing this,What does it mean. Please let me know what this means as to me it just seems like another form of adultery/fashionable "crap idelogy" introduced by Western culture.

Do not put us down in the USA please. We are not a bunch of idiots. This was something that was done in the past. When the people on answers were not even born or were babies mostly. It meant that people could have sex with whoever they wanted while married. Some people wrote a book about it and they divorced. It was an experiment that did not work. Please please and please do not put those of us down that live normal comminted lives down. It is not a nice thing to do. Not all people are the same and there are many nomal religious moral people who live in the united states and the western cultures. This is a mean nasty racist way to put this. You will be lucky if anyone gives you a good answer. If you want to divide races keep talking like this. Just ask the question next time and keep the jugemets to yourself. It is unkind.

Boy donna you sure know how to win friends and infulence people. I just read your other question. Have you got any insults for any other groups of people for later or tomorrow?

An open marriage is where both husband and wife have permission to have extra marital affairs grom their spouse. This usally is an agreement for a marriage of convience rather than a marriage of love.

That you are " free " to date other people!
In other words, you are married; but can act like if you are single and free to see others! And your spouse won't mind! "ADULTERY"!
OPEN MARRIAGE'S ARE WRONG! A marriage means " CLOSED " to others! Only one man and one women, who have A special bond till death do them part!

i think it means when both people in the marriage agree to one or both of them having sex with other people. i don't agree with it. if you're going to get involved in that kind of behaviour, then don't get married. stay single. marriage is something that should not be taken lightly and the concept of an "open marriage" just makes a mockery of the sanctity of marriage.

It means married people OK sleeping with other people.

My opinion is....if they want an open marriage they shouldn't get married in the first place....it's just nasty.

Yes, it is adultery. The partners are not faithful to each other. Marriages seldom last under these conditions.

no its avery adult mature way of life, that is very hard to do, you divide sex from love

you and he have teh relationship but you both have lovers

you could try the traditional asian idea of him treating you like a slave and having mistresses if you want to exclude western ideals
