Depends what you mean - you mean remote control? Then you need remote control software such as PC Anywhere or one of the free VNC variants.

2 Places you mean 2 monitors on one computer. Well your computer allready has a video card you need another one. It can be in an AGP slot or more popular PCI. All you have to do is have another video card in your computer then
Right Click-Properties->Display and you should see a 1 and a 2 if you select extend it will be like stretching your montior so you can drag other window browsers on other side. Show means it will copy your same window on both monitors

Most people get a graphics card with two outputs (one for each monitor) and it includes the software to allow dual viewing. The geoforce 6200 card is an under $100 solution to fufill the needs you require, although almost any newer Nvidia chipset card with two ports will do. I have done some experimentation with an onboard video card and a cheapie pci card, but it tends to be more difficult than the single card solution

Windows 2000 OS does NOT have the built in remote desktop like Windows XP. Upgrade if it's an option, because remote desktop produces better quality than VNC.

Duall head video cards are great. I have a matrox g400 I believe on this machine and also purchased the adapter they sell for hooking up one monitor and one TV which works very well. No loss.
As far as logging in from ouside see above links. ALso if spying on your kid or whatever you need one that doesn't show you coming in nor mouse control eetc.

If you want to see your desktop on two monitors at the same time, you need a video card with two output connectors.
