my brother is 17 he failed drivers ed so he didnt get the certificate of completion. the school he goes to now is a charter school and they dont offer drivers ed. so how can he get his license without waiting til hes 18. he cant even enroll in drivers training. (where u actually drive) until he gets that certificate.

i think that people should read questions more carefully when they answer them, only one person so far seemed to understand what i was asking.

he didnt fail because he didnt know what he was learning he was out of school for a long time.

He can go to a DMV approved driver training school which usually offers like a weekend course and then driving for around 6 hrs and that is the same thing as drivers ed.

You can get your license when your 16 or 17 but only under certain circumstances. I know a few are like ... If your parents work all the time and you have a part time job and you have no way to and from work ... But you can only drive the places aloud and if you get caught driving somewhere other than the path the license allows you get a ticket as well as that special license (I forgot what it is called) revoked until your 18

Crazy US rules. Here in Canada you don't need driver's ed at all. If you want to start the graduated licensing process when you're 16 you can... although it is a lengthy process... but everyone goes through it whether they took driver's ed or not.

You could always switch schools... however what is one year?... I got mine at 19... also check out the driving schools in your area to lower insurance and improve your driving skills...
