I always give my son a massage at night after his bath. I use Johnson's Bedtime Lotion. It is scented like lavender and is supposed to help them sleep. It is more of a cream, so it doesn't make them oily or slippery and his skin is always very soft.
I have also heard good things about the Gerber Grins and Giggles lotions. I have not tried them yet, but I plan to. My friend uses these and swears by them. I have always been partial to Johnson's poducts, but Gerber is worth a try.
Good luck finding the right lotion for your baby. Infant massage is very important. We both enjoy the time together and it helps us both relax.

I think it depends on the condition of baby's skin. If no allergy's and skin is dry. Baby oil. Normal skin, I would use baby lotion. I wouldn't use just any lotion or oil because of baby's delicate skin. Baby might be prone to reactions to perfume or chemicals in adult lotions. Always air on the side of caution when it come to your precious Angel

i would use lotion because oil can be messy and she will become slippery and feel greasy. Johnson and jonson is a good lotion to use they have a bed time lotion that calms them down too and it relaxes them so with that lotion it would be best because she can be relaxed as you rub her and she will sleep so calmly. I used it on my baby and it works good.

I would definitely prefer NOT to be oily if I was a baby. Lotion dries up faster either way. Go for lotion. Use J&J.

Johnsons & Johnson's (the pink one) or if its right before bed use one with chamomile its soothing or for a real relaxing massage use baby oil gel and run the bottle under hot tap water so the oil is a bit warm My Jacob loved it he would drool!
