I would say It was due to physical and emotion strain your have been going through but yes one the other hand there could be a change in your cycle as well. I was always regular and then just out of the blue for no reason what so ever my body changed.

Have you started charting your temperature yet? Check out www.fertilityfriend.com and learn about it. It will help a lot. If you weren't pregnant and were 4 days late, you ovulated later this cycle than normal, or possibly not at all. This is completely normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong at all.
It can take a healthy couple up to a year to get pregnant, so don't worry too much yet. Charting and learning how to read your body's signs will help a lot.

Stress affects the cycle. I can get delayed because of the strain which u r going through. Be patient. Try having sex from the 14th day to 21st day of ur cycle. But on alternate days. This was the option given by my gynae when I was having prob in conceiving. I really worked. Do in missionary position. Chances of conceiving improve. All the best!!

Yes it is normal but if you think that you may be pregnant take a test. You have been trying with no luck for 6 months. Give up stop trying stop thinking about it and it will happen on it's own. The more you obbsess about it the less likely it is to happen. Good Luck.

Delay is ok. But remember to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

I'm not trying to get pregnant but I know stress can alter your cycle. And I've heard that sometimes trying and trying and trying puts a lot of stress on someone making it harder to conceive. I say relax, get back to basics and just have fun. Stop stressing about getting pregnant. I say if after 6-12 months of "not trying" and you still don't get pregnant...see a doctor. Just my honest opinion. Good luck! :)

stress and physical exertion can cause irregular periods. it is typical to be a day or so off either early or late. just keep trying. two weeks after your period ends is a good time to get pregnant. and i know this sounds strange but elevate your bottom on a couple of pillows during and after sex to help the sperm get to your fallopian tubes more easily.
