If you choose the Pygmalion myth you could use one of these poems: William Morris's "Earthly Paradise" Friedrich Schiller's "Ideals" Carol Ann Duffy's "Pygmalion's Bride" John Dryden's "Pygmalion and the Statue" Walid BItar's "The Fourth Person" I am sure you will find one of these on-line.

Read "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. He refers to Pallus Athena.
Also see the movie "Mercury Rising."
On "Futurama, the bureacratic clerk guy is named "Hermes"
We (had) a planet named "Pluto" until just recently (actually, the name Pluto is the Roman version of "Hades")
When we watch "Star Trek", we see "Vulcans;" Vulcan was the god of fire and the forge.
All of our (western) astrological signs are from the Greeks (Gemini, Leo, Virgo, etc...)
The Greek god of love was "Eros, " hence the word, "erotic."
If someone has a very difficult job to do, it is said that he/she will be doing a "Herculean task."
