If you are going to start trying to conceive a baby, go ahead and get a bottle of prenatal vitamins and start taking them. You can get them at Walmart or the grocery store in the same section as the OneADay vitamins. This will give you what you need. Your husband shouldn't have to take any.

Have sex every other day once your period stops and your odds will be fine. It takes up to a year for a healthy couple to conceive, so have fun trying!

For you, start taking prenatal vitamins, you can get them at any drug store/ pharmacy, no prescription necessary.

For him, reduce caffeine intake, and don't wear tight jeans.

For both, just eat healthy, more veggies & fruits.

Healthy food is not sufficient, you should know your ovulation period for best results. Your ovulation period normally starts midway you period cycle, ie if your period cycle is 28 days your ovulation should start somewhere around 14th day. start counting from first day. You can also try some LH test, these tests can be done at home and are reliable.
