I am not able to type @ on my Home PC using shift+2 buttons. If I do that it prints " instead. It happened while typing a mail in gmail.

I have to copy it from somewhere & paste it to write e-mail address of anybody.

you need to hold down shift and press 2!! @

I've seen that problem before, try logging on and logging off. If that fails, try restarting the computer.

try turning off keyboard short cuts in gmail, it might be messing up
