Grantor & Grantee Definitions

The Grantor is any person conveying or encumbering, whom any Lis Pendens, Judgments, Writ of Attachment, or Claims of Separate or Community Property shall be placed on record.

The Grantor is the seller (on deeds), or borrower (on mortgages). The Grantor is usually the one who signed the document.

The Grantee is the buyer, recipient, new owner, or lien holder.

Remember the "or" & "er" rule.

It actually means that Specific State is in control of the decision. Believe me it not always mean anything if someone wants to contest this. Money talks!!! That the American way. You need an example? Adoption! Even though a woman give up custody rights she can come back later for money or the child and the State, CAN Dictate is her decision!!!!! So, these words are interchangeable and redefined according to those who profit most from them. True, there are Definitions to these terms, but, that definition can be changed by the courts!!!! This why I can not lie to you and give a specific definition. Sorry.
