This not a riddle. This for real. There is this car dealership close by. It is run by two brother in laws. They both have the same last name so how can they be brother in laws. If they both married women from the same family, the could be brother in laws, but yet yet they would still be considered brothers. Serriously how could to men who are brother in laws share the same last name...unless it just happened that they had the same last name and are not related.

Possibilities:
1. One man took the last name of his wife, instead of her taking his last name. So he now has the last name as her brother.
2. Your last line, it was just a coincidence that they have the same last name.
3. They are confused about their relationship :-)

It sounds to me it is just a coincidence( I don't believe That is spelled right) that they just happen to have the same last name. They don't have to be brothers or related to have the same last name..They came from two totally different families and happen to marry sisters and they just happen to have the same last name..

They could be two brothers who married two sisters. They would be brothers and brothers in law... But it could also just be a coincidence.

They could be cousins, or uncle and nephew there are many different combinations or it could just be luck that they have the same surname and married sisters.

Only they would know, you could always go and ask them what their story is.

I suppose it depends on the name. If it is 'Smith', well, enough said; but if it is 'Annicchiarico', well, then you got me there. I knew a woman who's maiden name was Lisa Mason and she married a guy named Dan Mason. So she got to use all her old monograms, still.

Maybe it is a case of inter-family relations. What state do you live in?
