A person paid by a company or politician to make statements that are favourable to the outcome of either ie. A statement appears in the media that is relevant to the co/polly and puts them in a bad light. the spin doctor then counters with a release of his own twisting or spinning what was the original release to show his employer in a good light Hope it made sense!

Someone who puts a spin on the news to make it sound better than it is. For example: We all know that we were lied to about WMD in Iraq. But the spin doctors tell us that if we didn't invade, they would have gotten WMD. Just put a little spin on it so the sheep will buy into it.
