My husband and I don't buy gifts for each other on our birthdays. Not because we don't celebrate them or anything like that. Just because we know how much we love each other and I don't need him to buy me a gift to show it.

Yeah, you probably should have. If you didn't, you can always say that you are going to give her your gift this weekend - but if you do that you better plan a weekend get-a-way somewhere nice and romantic!
