If on one side it has a man with a funny hat and beard and on the other side the date and under that date is 100, there are characters under the 100 near the rim, then it is a 100 Won from South Korea KM# 35 and the guy on the front (obverse) is Admiral Lee Soon-shin. China's 100 Yuan coins are made of gold. Japan's 100 Yen has flowers on one side. Not from Southeast Asia, for they do not use characters anymore.

I'll bet you it's from South Korea. I have one fitting that description.
A 100 won coin, with "hangugeun haeng" on the front (country name) and a guy with a long beard and a hat with two things sticking out the sides. The Korean around him says "baeg won", or 100 Won.

Sounds like South Korea. Does the guy have a beard, and the hat has things sticking out to the left and the right? It's worth approximately ten cents.

Mayhaps Japan? To the best of my knowledge, I don't recall china having 100 yuan coins (approx. 12 USD) but Japan's Yen is worth about 116 yen per USD, so that's more likely.
