The ACT is a multiple choice test which tests what you (should) know as opposed to the SAT, which tests your ability to apply what you know. Some people consider the ACT a much easier test than the SAT as it tests actual knowledge as opposed to your ability to reason. The ACT is composed of a Reading, English/Grammar, Math, Science Reasoning, and Writing section. A perfect score is a 36.

I took the ACT and scored 33 (out of 36). In my opinion, it is much easier than the SAT. However, some people think it's harder than the SAT. It includes a science section whereas the SAT does not. Most colleges on the east coast prefer the ACT while the west coast colleges prefer the SAT. I like the ACT, and recommend that you take it. Good luck!

its like the SAT but is a cheaper version and by cheaper I mean its not as accredited as the SAT test. Its very hard and will determine what college you go to. I suggest getting every book you can on it and reading! Problem is that all tests really don't measure crap! We as humans all work on different levels and some of us excel at certain things that others of us suck in. This being said it will affect your life forever so do the very best you can and remember no matter what they tell you, your not dumb or slow or even less competent then others! I freakin bombed mine and have 6 Grammys (FOR REAL) you just have to find the one thing in life you love go after that and you will be successful, to be really honest only people with AVERAGE intelligence do good on those types of tests they fail to mention that to the general public, why they would not have a job or way to actually evaluate you on a level that would benefit you! GOOD LUCK!

Try this website it is very helpful. I took the ACT instead of the SAT but that was like six years ago. I found it very simple and anyone who has the slightest bit of book sense should be able to pass easily.
