On the Sims 2 for PC, with an Open for Business expansion pack, how do you see a ghost?

Sometimes my Sim wants to see one, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Also, if anyone knows how to figure out which one of your customers is a reporter so you can get a good review, that would be helpful, thanks.

You can set up to have your sim see a ghost several different ways.

The chance way is to visit a friend or public lot with a graveyard in the back - after dark. The guaranteed way to do this is to have your own gaveyard but if you don't have any tombstones from other sims, you can get one by murdering an NPC or other Sim that comes over to your lot. Someone you don't care about. Just trap them so they cannot leave the property and use typical ways to murder them (starvation, fire, swimming pool w no ladder, etc). When the tombstone comes, put it in your yard and in a few evenings that ghost will come out by itself.

Knowledge type sims usually want to see a ghost and don't suffer as badly from fright. Some other sims depending on their personality may wet themselves and need a shower right away, or be scared to death (another tombstone on order!)

As to the reporter guy, gosh I don't have OFB yet, but have seen one reporter described as: ugly guy with the bad mullet and yellow/brown cowboy shirt.

MTS2 has a hack to spawn a reporter - a backward way of finding out what they look like.

for any of the sim 2, the answer is the same. somebody has to die on their home property. after the death, there will be a ghost hanging around (as long as you don't sell the urn or tombstone) that they can check out. for knowledge sims, it's a repeated aspiration boost, but for other sims, it can frequently take away points.
