No you can become pregent very soon after ending your depo shots. I was on depo for a few years, and I had a freind that was on it as well. She became pregnat one month after ending her shots.

my obgyn said it would vary because everyone is different. but if you think about it your body while on depo stops releasing eggs and producing lining.. ie no periods most of the time. so figure your body has to get back in line before it can support life.
personally though i love my depo. no worries. just a quick shot every 12 weeks. and its actually helped with the migraines i use to get, i have way fewer now and helps me maintain weight. see birth control doesnt make you gain weight, it can a little, but the majority of that is what you eat and your excercise levels i was told by my oh so awesome obgyn.

It will take a long time after ending the depo shots to get pregnant. In some cases it might take up to a year because your body has to get back to a normal cycle and if your periods were irregular or you weren't getting them then it could take up to a year.

I was on depo for about 3 + years and I stopped to try and have a baby and it only took me a month to get pregnant. I might be overly fertile or something... but it wasn't hard for me. I just depends on when you stop and how your body is on being fertile.

No, there are people who've gotten pregnant the very first time they had sex, or even when they were messing around in ways that they weren't quite sure amounted to sex. Getting pregnant is all too easy.
If you don't want to get pregnant, get protection NOW. While you're at the doctor's getting your birth control, make sure to ask all the questions you might have about sex and pregnancy; the doctor can and should give you answers.

It really varies a lot. It could me a year, or it could be the first month off depo.

Hormones are bad for your health, barrier methods are healthier and do not cause cancer, heart attacks or blood clots. You can only get pregnant during or around ovulation. I would not go by anyones prediction, the length depends on how bad that stuff messed up your system. Been with my hubbie 11 years and would never pollute myself with destructive things like that, it could mess up your health & future.
