Its been cancelled. According to a fansite set up to save the show, one of the people posting wrote:

"According to Rhonda's blog... Bunim Murray didn't pick up her contract option and it seems as though it was really they that didn't want to continue the show. They are promoting a show with a similar concept that might be out in the winter.. called Bad Girls. Check Bunim Murray's website for details.

It was rumored mid season that Iyanla wouldn't be back. Rumors also abounded about the coaches dislike of how the show was being edited and production problems. I think that maybe why Iyanla didn't want to come back. Plus the fact that she lived on the East coast might have been a huge component of her decision too.

Anyway, the season ended seemingly with a fork in the road.. Bunim Murray had until June 30th to pick up Rhonda's contract... She says in her blog that they never spoke with her about the fate of the show...and it was left as an assumption. Doesn't sound like it was a great working relationship.

Based on B/M's other shows..I think they just wanted to go down a different path...and to heck with a positive show... They never promoted the show very well... and I only happened to stumble on it the summer between SO1 and SO2...

There is a rumor that Dr. Stan and Rhonda might be collaborating on something. I'm sure that they or someone else will bring something similar along eventually to fill the vacuum for the audience that SO attracted. "

The entry is dated 9/11 and can be found here:http://www.startingovertalk.com/component/option,com_joomlaboard/Itemid,99/func,view/id,67714/catid,12/limit,7/limitstart,7/

I hope that Rhonda and Dr. Stan do produce something thats clser to the original intention of SO--truly helping women....as opposed to the "Bad Girls" direction that it was heading towards and has now actually been replaced with.

I don't think they will officially cancel it bc they can always bring it back with new life coaches and psychologists.

I'm surprised nobody has tried to copy it. it is such a great concept and it can't be that expensive to produce. I think they should go around the country and have houses in a different city every season. The Chicago house was the best!

It says on Wikipedia that the show is not expected to be back for its 4th season. That SUX.

I hate soap operas and never seen them but loved Starting Over. The only daytime drama worth watching.

Belynda:

The "couples" is a repeat too. It was first shown at the beginning of 3rd season. I personally didn't like to much and watched it sporatically.

I caught a few episodes of it the other night when they play the "encore" of it. And the shows that I seen were with couples in the house. I had never seen them on air before, so I am not sure if it was the first season, or if it was this season. All I do know for sure is what has been on the air are episodes I have never seen, and this episodes are not all women. Like I said they are of married couples, with problems. Hope this helps out a bit.

I don't think it's coming back this season, tried to access their website and it shunts you over to NBC website where there is no other info on it.
