are 2ND trimester abortions wrong? looking for opinions.?

I work for an attorney that had me look up info on abortions, i do believe a women should have a choice but i dont believe a women should be able to have an abortion that far along (6 months) unless its because of a health reason. from what i understand any women for any reason can have an abortion that far along its just going to cost her more.

In the legal case, I don't know. And it would depend on each persons's ethics, as far as I know.

But as far as religiously, it is WRONG to kill a baby, no matter what trimester it is in. It is then murder, pure and simple. Of course, it is then a conscious matter to do so on the grounds of it being for Mom's life or the Baby's life. That , however is a matter between a person and God. Personally? I'd rather risk dying than kill my unborn child. But hey, call me an extremist . ( "Extremist!!" lol )

I am pro-choice. I do however have mixed emotions on 2nd trimester abortions...My personal feeling is that if the mother is having life threatening illness that is effecting both mother and child, then it should be done or even if there is a high percent that the baby will be born still birth, then it should be done. BUT...if it is a perfectly healthy baby at this point and time and there is no life threatening health reason, then in my eyes that is murder. This baby can survive outside the whom at this point and time if it was necessary. To have an abortions this late in the pregnancy for no reason other than you have changed you mind, then adoption should then be an option to take...they have had plenty of time to think about an abortion and it is one thing as a fetus, but it is another as a real child. A fetus can not survive outside the whom, but a baby that has developed organs and lungs can. If considering a 2nd trimester abortion to just get rid of it due to you have changed your mind or gee cause you are gaining too much weight is a selfish act on that persons part..

A girl I worked with had an abortion at 22 weeks. We both work with premature babies and have had babies survive at 23 weeks, so it sickened me. Her reason for the abortion was that she was having a Catholic wedding 3 months later and didn't want to be embarrased. Also there is really no reaon to have an abortion for health reasons if you're that far along. The doctor will try to wait as long as possible and then take the baby out early.

My perspectives of abortion have replaced those days. the only ingredient that hasn't is in case of rape. A women persons that has been raped should not be compelled to hold and supply beginning. besides, particular, i'm against 2 and 3 trimester adortions. except rape. Or if the female's life is threatend. What has ameliorations is i'm prepared on a woman's appropriate...yet why did not she merely use a condom? Is it quite that confusing? what's thier excuse for not making use of risk-free practices interior the 1st place? i in my view are not getting it. i'm not asserting don't have intercourse i'm merely asserting use a freakin condom. it is the challenge I unquestionably have with the two factors. the pro-life area talks with regard to the child's rights whilst forgetting the female's rights. Then the pro-determination human beings communicate with regard to the female's rights and not the chuld's rights. i'm merely quite torn. Allthough i'm torn I not at all pick to work out any regulations banning abortion.

i think its the most inhumane thing you can do unless that child isn't going to make it for some kind of medical reason. I'm 8 months pregnant and i know when i was 6 months that baby is moving and breathing, my last ultra sound was at 6 months because we where checking for a heart murmur luckily he has nothing wrong with his heart, but all his valves where fully developed and eyes can open and close-they can suck on there thumb and hear everything that's going on in the outside world, they can also feel the mother * or anyone's * touch threw the belly. its quite amazing the ability they have at that time. although there lungs and nervous system isn't fully developed they are still a living human being. a woman that far along shouldn't think about adoption at this point, because that child has its full life ahead of him/her. i do believe every woman has a right to there own opinion but the law shouldn't allow any woman to abort a baby after the first month.. if you disagree do some research on child development in the womb and i can assure you, you are most likely to change your mind. plus, if you can't keep your legs closed or take precautions than you abviously think your mature enough to be a parent. this coming from a 20 year old who is engaged and not on birth control and of course having sex with my partner and not using contraception- we are not exactly financially stable and we have turned our live's upside down for this unborn child-we've moved out of our **** hole trailer, stopped doing drugs and are working day and night to make sure we have what we need to support this baby. because that's what you have to do-that's what you sacrifice when you make choices like we have, it's life! you take responsibility for your own actions-if people can't start realizing this-than they should have that child and then decide whether or not they want it or not- that's what adoption is for, there are plenty of children who don't have families that need them, and plenty of families that need/want children.woman shouldnt have a choice to murder a child if that child or mother is medically fit to go threw pregnancy and/or labor.

The term Mother means protector of life. Even in the animal world a mother never kills her young. They will put themself's in gread danger to protect their young.
Another way to look at it is that a womans choice comes when she desides to have sex with or without out protection, also she desides who she has sex with and how often. If she takes the pill or not or have her baby making equipment removed. But when she starts life the choice moved from her to the child, She has already made her choices. Remenber, women also have Male Children. A Male wright to choise??? A real Mother would not put her life before her child. Abortions is not a woman right of choise at anytime. It the child right. How do we know what the child wants. That is easy, if your mother had aborted you how would you feel about it. Mother's have given life to all living on the earth today. So you could have the right to chose . At least do for your child what your MOTHER did for you.

I also believe it is wrong except for medical reasons, I think 3 mo is long enough to decide whether or not you are going to keep the baby. And if you carried a child for 6 mo, you might as well keep going and give the kid up for adoption.

Okay, my opinion. I believe a woman has the right to do with her body whatever she wishes -- sell eggs for profit, for example, after having been fully informed of the risks of the medications involved to induce her ovaries to produce many eggs. Same with abortion. A fetus is a parasite in every sense of the word, until it can be viable on its own, whenever that is.... the fetus hijacks nutrients, calcium, you name it, and takes over her body for its own benefit --- certainly the definition of a parasite. However, at the moment that fetus becomes an unborn CHILD, her rights are forfited. She had plenty of time to decide --- everything from Plan B,(morning after the night before) when it is still a zygote, smaller than the dot at the end of this sentence to viability. That said, someone should note the ridiculousness of the partial birth abortion issue. Have known tons of docs, and not one of them would consent to partial birth abortion -- it is a non-issue, drummed up by the right wing christian fanatics.

look up partial birth abortions. it's sick. they leave only the head inside so you can't hear the baby scream. they jam scissors into the back of its head and suck its brains out. uh yeah I think its very wrong and any one who gets an abortion at all for any reason other than medical, I wish someone would do the same to them because they deserve it. some people aren't mature enough for sex.
