I know a lot of liberals Most are smoking dope and have no idea what the price of gas is.
They think that Bush is a mature marijuana plant.

I give him credit for getting his buddies to lower gas prices just before the mid terms. You will have to do better then that. I compare the prices from when he was appointed in 2000 to today. Gas prices never went up that much rate with Liberals in office.

I'm a lib, and have never believed the president has any control over the price of oil. He's out of the equation.

Simple
By blaming things on the president it deflects attention away from them.
You can make yourself look good simply by making others around you look bad.
Doing this you don't have to actually do any work but come out smelling of roses.

Maybe if it goes down below the cost it was per gallon when he became President, people would give him credit. Right now, he's fighting in a deficit.
On another note.... $2.29? We're at $2.49 here.

Haven't you heard 'em? It's part of the pre-election conspiracy to fool people into voting for those darned Republicans! Let's face it. Everything bad is his fault, and everything good is a smoke screen. At least through liberal colored glasses, that is!

I would imagine probably because they are bitter about the general state that the country is in. We're in the middle of two wars, the more recent costing half of a trillion dollars, one country is on the edge of civil war, the other war was forgotten about, we're in negotiations with a country that wants to make nuclear weapons and many in Bush's cabinet proposed a possible nuclear war. Not to mention the fact he is incompetent. Period.
