There was only damage in the Kitchen where the stove is. No other apartments were damaged.

Yes. The context of the fire's being accidental or not is entirely within your own interpretation of the incident. The only relevant issue is whether or not you pose any present and ongoing risk to the owner's property (not to mention the property and people in all adjoining apartments), and whether you continue to be liable for property already damaged.
Having said that, I started a few little fires in the kitchen as a teen, and we were not evicted (we were seriously threatened when I ran the water out of the tub-- from over someone else's apartment-- for the fourth or fifth time, though). It's most likely up to the discretion of the manager, and how convinced he/she is that you pose no future risk. Keep in mind, though, that your most concrete reference is your own history. :)

They cannot evict you, but they don't have to renew your lease.
Call the Tennant Association, they should be in the yellow pages.

if you really dont want to be evicted call one of those free advise lawyers.

You might just have to pay for repairs/replacements....or maybe forfeit the deposit you paid when you moved in....read your lease and see what it says.

how can you live there?

if it is minor it is ok, major you have to get out.

And feel lucky that you are safe and well.
