Based on the store prob i had a few mins ago...

If two meats must be combined in a single sandwich, how many possible choices are there?

the meats are ham, turkey, lamb, and beef. with the choice of bread being rye, white, or wheat.

choices of meats a,b,c,d
choices of bread 1,2,3
1+a+b
1+a+c
1+a+d
1+b+c
1+b+d
1+c+d
6 choices with the white bread
its the same with the wheat and rye
so its 6+6+6=18

4 meats = 4^2
plus 3 types of bread therefore (4^2) x 3
