Some printers have the print heads built into the print cartridge.

On others the print heads are built into the printer itself.

You can try cleaning these using the utility menu for printer. It does use up a lot of your ink, so I wouldn't try it too many times.

You can also try to clean it using cotton swabs and isopropyl alcohol. If it's really clogged up with dryed ink you will have to remove the print head and let it soak in cleaning solution. I'd have a computer shop do this.

With the cost of printers so low, it may cost you less to buy a new printer than to have your old one repaired at the computer shop.

You probably need to clean the print heads....look in the maintenance section...the printer will usually do this for you.

Good luck

Head cleaning is probably it BUT...did you take the little plastic film off the new cartridge before you installed it?

You should read your help menu for whatever printing questions you have. Lots of good info there.
