since i don't have kids I'll just scare the **** out of a few of the neighborhood brats.
for your 8 month old, try one of those ones that looks like a football, it'll look like you are carrying a football around or girl/boy? dress them up like chucky or his bride.

Wow, ninja rooster--what an incredibly great idea. Well, my son doesn't dress up on Halloween. Really. He's 4. I made him a costume last year just in case he changed his mind. Nope. I did get him a Halloween t-shirt, which he did wear to the local carnival. He likes looking at other children in their costumes. He just really doesn't like the idea of dressing up himself. While I'm a little disappointed, I respect his feelings. I keep thinking maybe next year. Oh well, maybe when he's 5?

I got a really cute costume for my son's first Halloween at a consignment shop. It was from Bay Gap and was in great condition. I still have it in case I have other kids. I got one for this year at Target. It was about $15.00 and really cute and very soft (it's a pumpkin). Good luck. Just look around, stores are putting them out now and they're not that expensive.

my daughter is four and she either wants to be buffy from buffy the vampire slayer or elizibeth from pirates of the carribean... I was considering making her a victorian style gown out of some velvet material...
I have a ten month old son- Im going to dress him up like the pirate jack sparrow hehe, either that or sully from monsters inc that would be adorable ;)
if you want some suggestions on creative costumes email me
ive been searching for ideas, and have some sites you might find something there

I'll be going to my friends house and watch the kids dress up and do a hay ride in the country. How about a Batman costume?

When my little boy was an infant, we took a black jogging suit and drew spiders on it with glow in the dark paint (safe kind) and went and bought the little spider headband things. Another year we just bought an orange jogging suit and drew pumpkins on it and had the headband with the little light up pumpkins on the ends. You can do just about anything with a plain jogging suit and imagination. It is also good if the weather is cool on Halloween! Good luck creating!!!

I don't know yet. My husband was going to be the Mad Hatter, i was going to be Alice and we were thinking of dressing up our son as either the White Rabbit or one of the Playing Cards. We dressed him up as Peter Pan last year. He absolutely loved it.
As for your baby, try going to Old Navy, they usually have the cutest costumes for babies that will also keep them warm while they trick or treat.
