Does anyone know what an average commission rate is for a sales rep.?

I am starting my own small business and I was wondering what percentage should I pay my sales rep on the sales generated by him.

Depends what state your in and what your selling. And are you salaried as well?

Been seeing an average of 20% being offered for inside sales.

For car sales it's 25% of the gross profit
