Doc hasn't told him what compression to wear, just that in his job, where he stands all day he should wear support tights.

He's tried Activeskin, and it helped a bit, but they are expensive and don't work as well as hoped.

Any suggestions? I've even been able to make him open to wearing women's opaque tights (they look like socks) if he can get the right compression.

The reason is to reduce his leg pain from standing all day long.

He doesn't have any serious problem, just tired aching legs after a long shift

You mean "teds stockings?" I would try any medical supply store, ask at any pharmacy.

Try 20/30 compression hose, available at most drug stores. If that does not provide relief go to 30/40. But I don,t understand any MD who recommends compression without strength.A second opinion by a vascular MD is warranted

A health store that sells support tights etc. should be able to tell him which compression would be best, but even better your doctor should have told you. So check back with him. If it's too much or too little it's going to cause harm to his legs.

Try going to the DrLeonard.com link below,

Since he is only wearing them for support right now, and not something more serious, they have lots that might do the trick at a good price range. Mine break the bank at over $75 a pair.

Request a script from the doctor.
They will then fit him with the compression stockings....
And then hopefully they will cover most of them with insurance.
